We're excited to announce the immediate release of our June update to Sibelius.
Introducing control over the colour scheme for the four voices and selected objects in Sibelius, you can now set up colour presets to suit your work.
To match the recent MIDI Import workflows, we've added support for MusicXML files, allowing you to import a MusicXML file straight into your template and arrange music on the fly.

I have downloaded and installed the Sibelius Ultimate update. When I attempt to open up, the program switches on and I have a choice to create a new score or open one of the many I have previously created before the update. It opens up the score and within about 20 seconds it closes the program. Why? Someone please help.

I suggest that you check your Windows installation for out-of-date device drivers (especially those for audio output), and any out-of-date VST plug-ins. Otherwise, we are going to need better information to advise.

Please can someone with responsibility tell Avid that the process of upgrading/crossgrading or whatever the latest form of hell is to just get Sibelius working is not doing them or us any favours. It's taken me 24 hours to have the 3 month offer paid for and in place. I'm still not really clear about what I have now done and whether it will still work at the end of 3 months! I had to deactivate a perpetual license and activate the annual one that appears to be how this offer has taken me.
If I was deeply into Sibelius every day of my life I'm sure I would have it sorted but I'm not!
Recently I needed to look at a DAW and guess what I chose? Not Pro Tools purely because of the minefield that is Avid. Logic was a piece of cake and no subscription.
Surely someone in this organisation can cause a rethink. My subscriptions with Adobe and Microsoft work seamlessly.
Dear All, I've just updated my software on an iMac running 10.15.6. When I open a file on a different account on the same computer, it does not load the fonts. Anyone any suggestions please? Thanks Peter
Since covid closures began in March 2020, I have gone every week to my favorite restaurant for take out. I'm doing my part to try to keep this small family business alive.
Similarly, I have to think that people support Sibelius with a subscription because they want to see it continue and they don't want to be stuck with an old copy that will eventually become obsolete. But as far as a major, substantial upgrade to Sibelius, well, it's been a very long time, hasn't it?
