I bought Sibelius Ultimate around one year ago (Jan . or Feb. 2019, perpetual).
It is (still) running fine on my Windows PC.
I recently bought a Mac Mini (2018).
The application just won't start, there is no text in the error-message, when I click "save log", there is no valuable information there (log attached).
I also downgraded to 2019.4.1 which I found somewhere on the internet, the same happens.
As I can remember, It ran a few days ago (when I had not installed the update 2020 yet).
Is there no way I can get to run Sibelius Ultimate on my Mac Mini with Catalina?
Neither can I (thats what I said in the posting).
As I said, I have first tried Sibelius 2020.1, which didn't work, and then came to the idea to downgrade (I could only find version 2019.4.1. to download on the internet), but this didn't work either.
So is there no solution ? (I already opened a support-case).
Doesn't anyone have the same issue?
I just got the information, that Sibelius 2020.3 is out. I downloaded and installed it but it crashes again. The same happens, if I try to open the new Sibelius First.
However, this time, the error message at least is readable.
This seems somehow illogical to me, but I did as I described and randomly restored the plugins back from the trash to their folders.
The last plugins I restored were the ones of FL-Studio. Sibelius still runs / starts without crashing (heaving placed all plugins in their original folders again).
I even restarted the mac, heaving restored all plugins (moved to their original folders again) and the problem is gone. Sibelius (2020.1) is starting and working fine.
Well, it solved the case anyway, didn't it?
The only remaining issue I have now, is, how to get away from midi-only playback and install Sibelius Sounds.
