Multirests

I cannot get the multirests displayed as it is described in the manual. Is there a simpler/faster way of annotating multiple bar rests. At this point in time, I'm creating separate parts and not complete scores. I would appreciate any and all advice! And...obviously I'm am new to the world of music annotation so please excuse my ignorance! Thanks to all!

Layout/Breaks/ShowMultirests. But you could have found this by typing "multirests" into 'Find in Ribbon'. Are you on Sib7 or later?

Even if the aim is to create just a single Part, I recommend treating the project as a Score containing just one instrument. Enter the notes into the Score, then switch to the Part to tweak layout.

Scores, by default, have Multirests turned of, Parts have them turned on. This is useful, if only because it's hard to enter notes into a page presenting as one long multirest!

Of course, if you're preparing individual Parts for the SAME piece of music there are obvious advantages to creating them in the same Score. No chance of missed bars. (Remember them, from when we did it all by hand?)
