Avid Link Stuck at Initializing

Installed Sibelius Ultimate 2020.1
Avid Link. 20.1.0
On Windows 10
Avid Link just sits at Initializing.

Opened Case 1/17/2020 6:53 AM
Case Number : 03865452

Received reply: 1/17/2020 1:13 PM
Replied back: 1/17/2020 6:17 PM to say clearing cache and deleting files, rebooting did not solve the problem.

Please can someone help. I really need to get up and running as I have a project to complete by 1/19

(On 1/16 Sibelius Ultimate 2019 was running fine on the same computer. I know I shouldn't have upgraded at this point!)

Try this:

Right click on the Avid Link in your system tray, select Preferences, which brings up this screen.

Click on Clear Cache Files

Quite Avid Link

Start Avid Link again

Unfortunately it still sits at Initializing.

It's now 1/21 and still waiting for Sibelius support to get back to me.

Try this:

- use Windows Task Manager to "End task" both "Avid Link" and "AvidAppManHelper";
- after they have both been terminated, click Start -> A -> Avid -> right-click on "Avid Link" -> select More -> "Run as Administrator".

Then see if you can sign in to Avid Link.
