Score Original Version has been updated to handle a new internal format for Sibelius version numbers that are passed to plugins. It will still give correct values for scores created before 2020.1.

Score Original Version tells you the version that a score was original created in, or the version of the House Style file last imported into the score (importing a House Style overwrites the original version of the score).

It does not tell you the format the score file was last saved in, which would be useful to know, but that information is currently unavailable from Sibelius. I have an external application to calculate that , and you can find it and read about it here: http://www.bobzawalich.com/get-saved-sibelius-version-application/. But that is a different story.

Sibelius tells a plugin 2 version numbers. The ProgramVersion is the current version of Sibelius in which the plug-in is running, and the OriginalProgramVersion is the version of Sibelius in which a score was originally created.

Plugins often use ProgramVersion to decide if a plugin is too recent to run in an older version of Sibelius. Score Original Version is one of only a few plugins that cares about the value of OriginalProgramVersion. It is sometimes useful to know when a score was created, since its dates can be changed.

In certain recent versions of Sibelius (2018.11, 2018.12, and 2019.12), the information passed to plugins about the version numbers was wrong. As of 2020.1, the version numbers contain the correct information and the Score Original Version plugin decodes it correctly.

Version 01.80.20 of Score Original Version will display the correct formatted values for any score, even scores that were formerly given incorrect version numbers.

Due to the fact that some numbers are not simply reformatted, but are recalculated, there is now a checkbox to display the unformatted number along with the formatted number. If the box is checked, you will see the unformatted version number in parentheses following the formatted number, as:
