We're pleased to announce our September release of Sibelius!
This is mainly centered around a brand new way of importing MIDI files, crucial for composing and orchestrating workflows. We’ve also made huge headway in improving the accessibility in Sibelius for blind and visually impaired users. On top of this, we’ve included a good bunch of smaller improvements to the overall quality and stability of Sibelius.
The update is available to all those with a current Update and Support plan or Subscription and can be downloaded and installed via Avid Link, or from your account at https://my.avid.com/products.
If you're on an older version of Sibelius, you can upgrade (at half pricee!) from the avid.com webstore or your local reseller.
We're still working on pushing the updates via Avid Link, so if you can't wait to get up and running, you can download the installers from your account in the meantime:
> AVID changed their commerce partner and the USERS have to pay??????
Well, US users pay $1 that then gets refunded. I don't know what happens in the rest of the world. I don't have any idea what is behind the odd procedure, but the end result doesn't seem too burdensome.

As advised by Robin Walker (thanks Robin), I'm using for now the 2018.7 version that works well with imported movie/audio files but lacks the great new features and bug fixing from more than a year of Sibelius updates.
Thank you for the link. I downloaded the 2019.8 winzip, and unzipped it, clicked on it to set it up. And it did this. But not sure what I need to do next? I opened Sibelius and there was no midi import there, so I'm still using the older version. Can someone please advise me here?
hi again, I'm not being able to link my avid download center with my other avid account. It is also not sending me a link to reset my password to join them together. I have tried this multiple times and it is not sending any message to my email address so I can reset the password and get the link for the update.
I'm just downloading the latest Sibelius full version 2019.9. Hopefully that will fix the problem. But as I'm now using the continually updated version, not my 7.5 anymore, will I lose files etc when I set it up?
Nothing to worry about now. My avid download account and my other account are now linked, and my computer is now setting up Sibelius now with the latest updates.
i updated sibelius ultimate 2019.9 yesterday. I can't get it work. I re-installed it and it keeps scanning my whole computer, looking for VST's and when it's almost done, sibelius gets stuck, crash, and I'm gone back to the beginning.
I'm on win10, does someone encounters something like that ?
I initiated another thread recently about Sibelius running slowly on a new computer of mine (a faster one). In the end i couldn't solve the problem completely and so decided to take up one suggestion which was to trial the new Sibelius. I've downloaded it and it seems better, great news! So I'll probably buy it. But...it keep crashing, at times almost instantly. Here's some event log info, and I don't know if this will help you to see the problem?
