How do I add a cautionary key signature at the D.S. for the change back to C minor? Thanks.

as far as I can tell, you have two choices:

1. use a graphic of the KS just before the DS

2. Use the zymbol flats with or without large brackets to simulate a KS. Both have their pros and cons.

Hi there

In this case, because the first bar of the coda is empty, you can fairly easily manage this. (NB I can't remember if all this functionality is available in Sib5, so apologies if it doesn't work for you.)

a) Select the double barline at the end of bar 28 and add a key change to three flats. (This is now temporarily in effect throughout the coda as well.)

b) Select bar 29 (first bar of coda) and in Properties > Bars untick 'Key signature'. (The key signature at the beginning of bar 29 disappears, but is still in effect).

c) Select the barline at the beginning of bar 30 and add a key change to C major, first ticking the box at bottom left for 'Hide'. (Now C major is again in effect for the remainder of the coda.)

If there were music in bar 29, you might have to tweak some notes (by hiding or adding accidentals manually) so they looked correct for C major.

Hope that helps

(Disclaimer - I'm not sure how much of this was possible in Sibelius 5...)

I've added a bar before the coda gap. Given it the three flats key signature. Applied an Instrument Change to 'No Instrument (hidden)' to it. Dragged the marker box to the right far enough to display the KS. Hidden the 'Flute' text.

This will also work if the first coda bar isn't empty (I've added dummy notes) and if the coda isn't in the open key signature.

A cautionary key sig at measure 3 is easier. Might I also suggest a larger font size for the sign (suggestion attached).
