Hello everyone.

I am trying to load and use Garritan Personal Orchestra (GPO) into Sibelius 8.x but am not getting any output/sound, despite it being loaded into the configuration with Kontakt 5.

I had previously used GPO in Sibelius 5 via an installation CD. However I have since upgraded Sibelius to 8 and no longer have access to the original CD.

The Kontakt .nki files are available in the Sibelius folder (Sibelius Software/Sibelius Sounds/Essentials/Instruments/Garritan/GPO), but as aforementioned does not play when loaded.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is this on macOS or on Windows?

Please attach a screen-shot of the Sibelius dialogue "Playback Devices" showing the playback configuration you are trying to use.

Is the stand-alone Kontakt 5 Player able to play sounds from the GPO3 sample library? Does it detect the presence of that sample library as installed?

Thanks for your reply.

I am currently using Windows 7.

The standalone Kontakt 5 Player seems to have GPO sounds, but I am unsure if these are specifically for GPO3 or just part of the Sibelius Essential Sounds library. As I can only seem to attach one image per reply, I have attached a screenshot of this in a subsequent message.

I have also attached a screenshot of the Sibelius configuration I am currently using to this message.

I suspect that the problem is that you have not run the appropriate installer for the GPO3 library, which would have configured some Windows registry settings, and/or set up some licence keys.

The word "DEMO" in red is suggestive of some such problem.
