Hi, just a general question or two regarding Sibelius, the 'middle' version of the program.

I see here in Europe that the price is €109 I believe. (The US price was $109, so you know which version of which I am asking.)

When I jumped through the final hoop the price jumped to around €130 because of taxes.

Almost all the time here in the Netherlands, the price of anything online shows the final price except for shipping (which wouldn't apply in this since it's a download). The VAT is almost always included in the price displayed online.

Is that the correct price? I believe it was €129 or so.

One more question, I already have version 2 of Sibelius on my computer from 15 or 20 years ago. Will the current version of Sibelius open those files ... or not?

I bit the bullet, so to speak, and bought and downloaded the latest version of Sibelius. After a few left turns I succeeded in opening the program.

I opened a file I made over ten years ago and it opened just fine.

There's no need for any replies to my initial message. I'll try and deduct all the costs involved. :)

As far as I know, every version of Sibelius can read scores from earlier versions. If you are not using Sibelius Ultimate, then there may be limitations placed on scores that were created in Ultimate or the former full version of Sibelius.
