Hi there
On my Windows 8 system, I cannot anymore extract parts with Sibelius new version 2018.11. After giving the command "extract", the part indeed appears, but there is no way anymore to move and to scroll it. It remains totally blocked. Thanks for your help/suggestions.

Close the frozen opened part using the white-on-red cross button at the top right-hand corner of the window, then open the newly created part from its file on disk.

In my experiments, although the mouse is unresponsive, keyboard commands still work and can be used to navigate the ribbon.

From the location where you saved the Extracted Part as a Sibelius score file. Normally, in the same folder as the full score file.

To always go searching the file on disc is complicated and - frankly - ridiculous. Incidentally, you can't even edit the notes of these newly blocked extracted parts. Fortunately enough I still have the previous Sibelius version on my iMac, so I can continue working there...
Another disappointment with 2018.11 is, that you have to be on Yosemite to be able to install 2018.11. On Mavericks you can't install it anymore...

Correct. Mavericks and earlier Mac OS versions are no longer supported by Sibelius 2018.11, as Mavericks is now incompatible with Sibelius.

Yes, but is there a chance that a "normal" or "usual" part extracting/editing will be re-installed in 2018.11?

I expect it will be treated as a bug in the 2018.11 release, and fixed in a future bug-fix release.

Just an input, Robin: If you create parts with an older Sibelius version on an iMac and return with them to a Windows computer with 2018.11, this blockage does not happen.
