Convert solid slurs to dashed slurs?

I have a large score in which I need to convert every slur from a normal solid line slur to a dashed line slur. is this possible? (Manually replacing each individual slur may take hours.)

Edit the Slur Above and Slur Below Line types to have the attributes of the dashed slur.

(You may also wish to edit the existing Dashed Slur lines to be solid...)

But then you won't have any normal slurs to use if you need them, unless you edit the original dashed or dotted slurs to be normal ones. It's a pity they cannot be filtered and swapped. Bob Z.?

Replace Line Style will indeed do the trick as long as you replace it with another slur style. Note that except for non-magnetic slurs, the Above and Below names in the style are meaningless. Nothetheless, I always match them up if I do this kind of replacement.

Also - I note that a plugin cannot actually change the style of a line; instead it creates a new one with the desired style and then deletes the old one. It is better than nothing, and it usually works fine, but check positioning after you do this.

So if a slur's position or shape has been tweaked at all, editing the style would retain this, the plugin wouldn't?

Ultimately yes. The plugin saves and restores everything it knows about, but for example, if you have stretched out the slur shape that will not be retained. Editing the line style, which the plugin cannot do, will avoid that.

On the other hand, if you have just created slurs and not messed with the slur then the plugin replacement will be fine. It will preserve the X and y offsets of both ends of the slur (as shown in the Inspector), but that is really all it knows about.
