I have been trying to figure out how to filter specific notes from a triplet that can then be deleted without deleting the whole triplet. Is this possible?
The appropriate notes get highlighted with the basic filter, but then hitting Delete deletes the whole triplet.
The article's solution also makes filtering particular notes (such as top, bottom) more difficult (there is no option for 'top', 'bottom' on the Advanced Filter that I can see (presumably because those options already exist in the basic Filter).
Essentially, I am making separate parts, and I'm sure there is a more conventional way of doing this than copying one part to another staff then filtering and deleting the appropriate notes - probably something like Expand parts, though the method I am using is quick and easy except for when tuplets are involved.
In the normal filter menu are 2 groups of Notes and Chords. If you use "for copying", the tuplet will be included in the result, which you need if you are going to copy the notes somewhere else.
Use "for deletion" if you plan to delete then notes in the tuplet. The tuplet object itself is not included after the filter, so deleting will just delete the notes.
