Sib. 7.1: Stringed instrument articulation
Posted by Alan - 09 Aug 05:33PM
I'm interested in having stringed instruments performing both pizzicato and arco. I have not found any way to properly place the symbols for for the articulation desired. I'm sure there is a relatively easy way to do this, but I certainly haven't been able to find it. Thanks!

For pizz, type pizz. in technique text. For arco type arco in technique text.

Select Technique Text. Start typing. Position the text where you want it. That's about it.

I use [ctrl]t to start typing in technique. If you are on a mac, then it's [cmd]t. Select the first note you want the text to affect before you type the command.

If the playback dictionary is at default setting, "pizz" or "Pizz" or "pizzicato" should all give +pizzicato, and "arco" should give
-pizzicato. So will "nat.", but not "nat". Make sure 'Case sensitive' is not checked in the dictionary.
