OT. For Sale.

Anyone wanna buy a set of fanfare trumpets? Available for delivery after today's wedding. Only used once. Going cheap at 90,000 quid due to the absence of valves (can only be played in one key). Possible use as attractive wall hangings, umbrella stands or table lamps.

One broadcaster said that one of the fanfares was specially composed for the occasion. I didn`t hear one . . . . .
What a fabulous wedding tho`. Makes one very proud to blend the English and America with yet more close traditions.

(P.s. America - get rid of your guns).

I'm sorry, but I can't get at all excited about the descendents of one set of bullies, cut-throats and thieves marrying the offspring of another!

Dang, Mike. Now you've been'n'gon'n' ruined the wonderful Cinderella fairy tale about the dashing young ginger prince called Harry who single handedly climbs the beanstalk called trump tower to beat the shit out of the evil giant called Donald who's nuclear button is bigger than Rocket Man's button, and wins the heart of a beautiful young girl called Megan, rescues her from the land of guns-a-plenty-for-everyone, marry to the fanfare of a set of ninety thousand quid trumpets and live happily ever after in royal splendour. Weep, weep.

Hmm, did I just dream all that?

PS. Did I hear a bum note in the trumpet fanfare?

Missed the bum note in the fanfares, but the soprano cocked up a bar or two. We`ve had three reccies through the High St and Sheet street (yes, part of the royal route yesterday) this week - the last one this afternoon - 4pm. Today was quite remarkable as the part of the town involved (the royal route) had been completely cleansed of litter & rubbish, apart from all flags etc still flying. I expect there would have been a few bottles of champers sipped through the day. We had a bottle of cheap wine bought from the Co-op . . . . . .

And the young cellist was good, but not THAT good. Couldn't they have found three suitably diverse youngsters to do one piece each?

Not enough room for three youngsters and 3 cellos, sez Charles - "It should have been me, me, me".

An sad thing tho` to my eyes was the footballer`s ugly tatoos all around the back of his neck. Looks like Fergie trampled all over him, not just one boot being kicked.

For the rest of us tho` - "Onwards and Downwards". It was all OUR money!

Probably a net gain in tourism etc. profit though. On the whole I'd rather live here than Albania.

You have admit that they're a cute couple, though. Didn't watch the wedding but when it comes to watching a royal wedding or watching President Trump's latest outrage, my money is definitely on the former.
