Hi All,

I'm noticing an odd behaviour with the up/down arrow key.

If I have a multiple selection and press down or up, the selection moves by a 3rd, rather than a 2nd. It does it only with a multi selection, not with a passage selection, but if I want to move, say, all voice 2 notes, I have to move them one at a time to work round this. Is this a new bug?

I think this is by design. For instance, rests can move only by thirds.

Yes, Robin is right. If the selection contains a rest, the arrows move by a 3rd. If you filter for 'Notes & chords', the arrows move by a 2nd.

But WHY? You never need to transpose rests! Move them, yes, but transposed silence? Bizarre!

But, by using the up/down arrow keys, Mike, you're not transposing the notes, just shifting them diatonically up and down. I'm guessing that the Sib developers never intended notes and rests to be shifted vertically together.

Weeell, technically I am (diatonically) transposing the notes, but I don't want to move the rests. I'll just have to get used to using the filter you suggested.
