A quick note to let you know we've fixed an issue in Sibelius where running some plugins would cause a memory leak that slowed Sibelius down until you restarted it.
This fix is in today's release, which you can get from your account at https://my.avid.com/products or via Application Manager.
Thank you, Sam & team. Nice to know development is still ongoing and some bugs can be fixed quickly!

See attachment. Similar error when attempting to download the Sibelius updater. Can download Sibelius 2018.5 from Avid Account, but it unzips with a CRC error.
Last time the laptop coped with the Avid Account download OK, just baulked at unzipping the Application Manager one. This time it didn't like either. I expect it'll be OK with the unzipped version when I copy it across. Lucky I don't have JUST a laptop...
I hope you sent that crash report to Avid: it gives them a chance to understand what was happening.
The earlier reports about CRC errors and so on might indicate that this PC has a hardware problem (exposed by long-lasting continuous CPU-bound computation). For instance, it might indicate that the system's RAM modules need re-seating in their sockets, or that parts of the system are over-heating. Try running one of the standard RAM tests.

Sibelius 2018.4.1/7.5.1/7.1.3/6.2/5.2.5, PhotoScore Ult 8.8.2, Dolet 6.6 for Sibelius, Windows 10 64-bit 16GB. Desktop, and Microsoft Surface Book.
I've seen this message too when Sib-Ult crashed after attempting to plant a rehearsal mark. Ultimate seems prone to crashing. Back to the days of Sib7Acorn. Save after every note. Difficult when you don't want to lose a moment of inspiration. I think I might have to re-register 7.1.3 again. I reckon it's the most stable version I've had so far.
It's certainly never a bad idea to run a RAM test. But this unremarkable but adequate (i5, 8GB) laptop has unzipped plenty of bigger files than that. And today it can't manage two different installations from the same source.
Just tried a new download to the laptop from Avid Account. This one unzipped and installed without error.
Unfortunately I didn't retain yesterday's downloads to either machine for comparison.
I recall this thread regarding a previous update, where a user got the same error as I did from an Application Manager update, but succeeded after multiple attempts.
I ignore the app man as much as possible. I just downloaded from my avid account and installed with no issues on my 7yr old i7 8GB laptop.

I'm having an issue where my pop-up (right-click) menu appears briefly and then disappears. It happens with the mouse and if I assign a different keyboard shortcut to it.
