Hi all,

Is there any option or maybe a plugin to make the Sibelius 8 mixer look like the mixer window from Sibelius 6? I found that much easier to navigate (for one thing, the text came out a lot bigger and the things were labeled without me having to mouse over it).

There are several places in the Sibelius 7 re-design where it is painfully apparent that the team had time to get something working, but not to optimise its user interface. The Mixer is one of them.

Yeah I don't understand how they thought this was better. I can maybe see the aesthetic of wanting it to look like a physical mixer, but this is just obnoxious. Why would you want to take the labels off of it so I have to count each time to figure out which one is which? Also for some reason when I mouse over one to see the label, if I then mouse over another, I get the same tooltip from the previous one unless I move the mouse off the mixer and then back, and that sometimes doesn't even 'reset' it enough. It's just...cumbersome.

For that to work, you have to actively click away from your first choice. It is a huge PIA but will probably not get sorted any time soon!
