Currently student, so I can renew for 1yr at $89.

It sounds a great deal so I'm willing to renew for a year.

However, what if I choose not to renew *next* year?

Let's say I *now* have 8.4.1 and chose to renew only for 1 year, and what happens when the Plan expires again in April, 2019?

Should I roll back to 8.4.1? or I perpetually can use the last version right before the Plan expires?

You get to keep the last version you had installed.

My plan is expired, too. Do I regret my Jexit vote? Well, some of the new features like editing multiple texts at once have me excited and realizing that the Sib development team is finally doing something! But then I remember the importance of maintaining my cranky, stubborn refusal to use any version that has the ribbon.

I recently visited my 91 year old father who is rather set in his ways... I can't be like that, too, can I?

It amazes me (actually it doesn’t) that people hang on to their dislike of the ribbon for years. I guess people love to mutter under their breath. But I don’t think it improves a person’s equanimity.j
