I have been using Virtual Drumline 2.5 with Sib.6.2 for many years and ask if it is possible to continue to use it with Sib.8? I am currently running GPO 4, Concert & Marching Band 2, with Aria,in tandem with Sibelius Sounds but neither have the quality percussion sounds I require. Is there a way to bring Virtual Drumline on-stream?

I don't have it myself, but many other users do. There should be no problems using VDL 2.5.5 with any version of Sibelius. You will, of course, need to install a modern 64-bit version of Kontakt Player.

Hi Robin and many thanks. I have downloaded Kontakt Player 5 but for some reason cannot get it to show in the available devices menu. I have tried moving the VST folder and tried linking its contents but I think I am making a fundamental error somewhere. Help/advice please.

During the installation of Kontakt 5, the installer will have paused to show you the location of installation of the 64-bit VST DLLs. You should note down that location. Then, in Sibelius, open the dialogue "Audio Engine Options", then click "Folders", and add the containing folder of the Kontakt 64-bit DLLs (as previously noted) to the list of VST folders.

Do NOT move or copy anything around.
