Sib. 6.x: An old file
Posted by Simon Christensen - 13 Apr 10:09AM
Hi, I have been trying to convert an old sib7 (Acorn) fil into my 6.2 version of Sibelius.
It has proven impossible, can anyone help me?
Thank you!
Best,
Simon Christensen

Has the RiscOS file been converted to Windows? If so, you should be able to open it with Sib4, saved, then opened into a later version of sib.

No, it hasn't. My problem is that I only have Sibelius 6.2 on Mac...

I'm trying to upload the file, but it won't let me; I tried to change the extension to sib., but no luck.

To convert old Acorn files, you need Sibelius 5.x or earlier. You cannot upload Acorn files onto this forum.

You can try e-mailing the Acorn file to me. Acorn files should be named with extension .s7

Yes, I received it, but I am currently travelling abroad and my home PC with Sibelius 5 is refusing to talk to me. I might be locked out of it for another 3 weeks. I wonder is someone else with Sibelius 5 can help?

I have Sib 5 installed, so I should be able to do it. If you email me at the address in the post I will try to convert it.
