I've found that in Sibelius Ultimate (2018.4) it is no longer possible to insert fingering numbers for chord diagrams. I can open the chord diagrams page and can still double-click the grey numbers below the diagram, they start to blink, but my computer keyboard does not react when I want to insert new numbers. This was no problem in former versions of Sibelius. I have to use Sibelius 8.7.2 now to create the diagrams and save them in a separate file, then open Sibelius Ultimate and copy the diagrams into my actual score...

Guitar Teacher, Sibelius Ultimate (2018.4), Apple iMac, MacOs 10.10.5

I can verify this. Not working on my system either on the latest version (2018.4). This is a major problem for anyone that uses sibelius for guitar tuition. I wonder how easy it is to 'downgrade' back to an earlier version of sibelius - this latest version is a buggy nightmare! Very ironic that they named it "ultimate".

True, I can reproduce that on Windows 10. Also double clicking on the dots to insert fingerings there is affected. It shows a cursor but doesn't insert the numbers or characters typed in.
The same behaviour is in scale diagrams.

So this is a bug.

A workaround is:
After double clicking the number or dot so it shows the cursor, double click again, then you can insert the number or character.

Thanks Kai, for the workaround! That's working for me - so at least it's possible to enter the finger numbers until they can fix the behaviour.
