This was a problem with Sibelius 7 and 8 too (on a different Canon iR printer)

I can't seem to get Sibelius to print single sided with my Canon ImageRunner Advance printer using the default print window. It's easy enough to use OS Dialog and bypass your print screen -- which works fine as a workaround -- but I keep wondering why this is so difficult.

I have Print One Sided selected (which certainly sounds to me like single sided printing!). By the way on 2018 there are only 2 options: Print One Sided and Manual. There is no Auto anymore like the manual states.

Well, this is a minor problem but it has always seemed weird to me that Sibelius defaults to duplex (at least on my high end Canon printer).

It is true that the Canon driver defaults to duplex which I've bypassed with my own manual printer settings for B&W and Color. Maybe that's it?

Any hints? Thanks.

Before entering the Sibelius Print dialogue, ensure that the macOS default settings for the printer are those that you wish to use in Sibelius. Once you have entered the Sibelius Print dialogue, it is too late.

So, if the macOS default for this printer are "print duplex", then Sibelius will probably print duplex even if you ask, in Sibelius, for single-sided.
