Notation of Natural Harmonic Glissando on String Instruments

Hi,

just wondering if it's possible for the above to be notated as shown in the sample attachment on Sib 8, without the hassle of making individual harmonic notes of another voice, hiding them, pulling a gliss. line over them etc. ?

Meanwhile this is the alternate notation I am using. unfortunately words are used to clarify the intention here, which I find would be self-explanatory if the previous sample png was possible.

I prefer the look of #2. Explanation is unnecessary. Tho' isn't the lowest C a natural note?
