Pro Tools rewire plugin with Sibelius

Dear friends in the Sibelius community

I used to run Sib as a plugin via rewire. Is this possible at all these days? The plugin does not even appear in Pro Tools and I really don't want to use the notation feature in PT. I'm working in a film score on a tight deadline and would love to be able to do this.
I followed instructions as in this thread in the Avid Audio Community forum to no avail

I'm running Sibelius 8.7, Pro Tools 12.8.1

Have you tried re-installing both Sibelius and Pro Tools yet? Also, may we know your operating system?

Hi Ingrid, I have not trying reinstalling them... I will, if I can find the installers of the versions I have. I don't think I'm ready to upgrade to the 2018 versions.

As for the OS I'm running 10.11.6 (15G1611)

Hi, I have the same problem, Sibelius is not showing up as a rewire plugin in Pro Tools. I'm on Pro Tools 2018.12, Sibelius Ultimate 2019. Please advise?

P.S. Avid customer care suggesting uninstalling and reinstalling both Pro Tools and Sibelius, which I did. Still not working.

Is it possible to get a tech support response on this issue? I'm on deadline and need to solve it. I've already wasted time on the phone with a Sibelius support person who didn't know what Rewire is. And Avid support does not seem to be able to provide a solution.

This is really a ProTools issue, more than a Sibelius one. I suggest that you try the ProTools community forum.

I got this resolved by calling Avid and they walked me through the process of resetting Pro Tools to make Sibelius appear as an instrument plugin. Unfortunately I don't have a memory of what needed to be done. Call them and if you have a support plan they'll be able to help you.
