There is no Mark Tree listed in the Sib 6 Manual section 4.4, but it is listed in the instruments, for example:
House Style/Edit Instruments/Drum set (Rock)/Edit Staff type/Choose sound/metal/bells/medium high/Mark Tree.
I think there are several other ways of arriving at this destination. Also, Wind Chimes which are listed in Section 4.4 under Unpitched Concert Percussion would be expected by some to produce a similar sound, though there is some difference of opinion over nomenclature.
What confuses me, and I suspect others, is that none of the options I have tried actually produces a Mark Tree sound, but some claim to have succeeded.
It would be a service to humanity if such a person would set up and post here a working mark tree notation in a sample bar in Sibelius 6.x, preferably as a 5 line Drum Set instrument, and then perhaps also as a single line notation, complete with instrument name or change, so that us lesser composers could copy and paste it into our work. Of course we would also need precise instructions on how to edit the relevant instrument in our own score to be sure it works.
If it can alternatively be done with the wind chimes, then I'll go for that as well.
Please !!!
PS. I know this is a very old thread, but the old ones are the best, especially if they solve a long-standing problem.
