Well, this is awesome. Kudos to the team for working all this out. Would be great to have more features like this for dynamics, other text, rehearsal marks. Looking forward to what you come up with next.
There are some great features here! My favorite is the ability of increasing note durations to only take what it needs, which makes changing straight 8ths to dotted 8ths and 16ths spectacularly easier.
But really, there are lots of good things, that are almost all refinements of existing features rather than new ones. I applaud this approach.
This is the first update in years to hold any appeal for me. If the bugs that were introduced since Version 7 were fixed, I might be tempted, but I see no mention of those.

I have not been able to reproduce this issue.

I uninstalled 2018.1 and run full installer (not via update). I don't know, if there's any difference between, but now it works correctly. I'll let you know, if I get the same problem.

Great update, many amazing features!
But the article mentions that you can type 12/4 in the ribbon to create a new 12/4 time signature. This does in fact not work. It works for 12/8, though, but not for 12/4.

I think Euprint refers to the Search box (Find in Ribbon), which only seems to "know" about the time signatures included by default in the Time Signature gallery. So in that respect, Sam's post should be corrected (or the feature improved).

Problem with shortcuts is back... This time I've made screenshots.
Also drop-down lists are misplaced.

Excited about this update.
Just a question:
I downloaded it from the application manager. How do I place it in my Dock?
The versión on my Dock is the previous one. The 2018.1 seems to open only from the Application Manager window. How do I solve this? Should I download it from my account anyway?
Thank you!

Hi @bashkii!
You can just drag Sibelius from the Application folder to the Dock once it finishes downloading.
Sibelius 2018.1 is installed separately. You can't run Sibelius 8.0 - 8.7.2 and Sibelius 2018.1 at the same time since they can be activated by the same license codes.
Still missing is that you can fix & save the channel routing. Everytime I apply some orchestral percussion, I hear oboes, trumpets playing when the drum should be there. I wish to assign channels for the drum staves, so I do not have to search with each reopening of a score where to get the sounds from. This is time wasting.
And: Even if I add the orch percussion with a 5 line system, I only hear *one* sound (if finally assigned to the drums after hours), I wish to have the full set of sounds in one or two orch perc. systems.
Using Sibelius 2018, for the drums I prefer the much punchier Garritan P.O.5 Orchestral percussion set. But I have that drum topic already since Sib, 7.5.... :-((((
As for the channel routing: would it be helpful if I open a ProTools session, and insert Sibelius there as a stereo-track? The option is being offered by ProTools 2018 which I also run...
I'm only hesitating because the extreme launch times of PT and (even far more) Sibelius: If I open such a project a second time, I might have a good breakfast before I can start working.
