Playback Transport not working

Have recently had a growing problem which is now at catastrophic levels - playback starting, stopping, rewinding, playing very fast seemingly at random.

I reinstalled Sibelius thinking it may be a bug but no difference. DAWs etc are all working correctly.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your response Robin.
Screenshots attached - only seem to be able to attach one at a time.
Second one follows.

other points: on transport panel play and rewind try to go at same time.
have swapped computer keyboards as well just to check but no difference.

Problem solved - input devices were conflicting
