Transfering PC files to mac
Posted by Fiona C Brannon - 12 Dec 12:16PM
I absolutely loved Sib 5 and have avoided any upgrade because I liked it so much, but my PC is dying and I need to upgrade. I manged to load sib 5 onto windows 7 and it's worked well but there's only so many times I can try this!

I'm thinking of getting a mac but want to know if my earlier Sib files that I have saved on my PC will a) open on a mac; and b) open in Sib 8. I don't want to get a beautiful shiny new mac and find out that my past 10 years worth of sib files wont open! That would be catastrophic!

Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

A sib file is a sib file, whether created on Mac or PC, so your Sibelius files should open on either.

All Sibelius versions will open files created in earlier versions.
