Falling to bits?
Posted by Tony Wakefield - 06 Dec 11:53AM
Have almost finished extracting parts for ww, br, perc, stgs
ditty. I open cello to tidy it up and up pops violin 1. I open something else, and something else pops up. Most parts open accurately. Do I need an oil change or does Sib need one?

Answers please on a dip stick . . . . . .

Tony, my old friend - perhaps you have had too much time with your dipstick? Why don't you either post or email the offending file so that one of us can have a peek to see what is going on 'under the hood'? :-D

Yes - perhaps too much time Mike. I`ll do my own monitoring for the time being - perhaps it`s the exhaust pipe that`s dropped off . . . .
I`ll get back to you shortly after I MOT it.

Knowing which version of Sib this is happening in would be good as well.

Sib 8.6, Bob - sorry, I thought the site auto asks for the version.

Just a thought, did you create these instruments using a pre-defined instrument or did you add them using a non-specific staff (Unnamed treble or whatever) and then rename them?

Are there any separate staves with the same instrument name? Sib gets seriously confused if you do that!

Mike, this is the cello part made from score/parts/extract. It`s not cleaned up. It came up correctly, so all I can think of is that I fell asleep in the motor, forgetting to switch off, whilst the missus put the hose in through my window . . . . .
I`m now in a dream that someone has just passed me a pencil & mss paper, whispering "There`s plenty more paper if you need it" . . . . .
