Then the message says when I try to run the program, "please verify that Avid license control is installed correctly." But then no solutions are offered.

Also, please check that the PC is fully connected to the Internet, and not (for instance) connected via a VPN, nor behind a firewall that is preventing outgoing connections on certain ports.
