I have been unable to export any musical score to an audio file. When attempted via File > Export > Audio, I am told I "cannot use this playback configuration (General MIDI (basic) because it does not contain any virtual instruments. Please choose another playback configuration", for which there is no other option. I thought Sibelius First sftwr came with its own "sounds" which would be used for audio export. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Clearly, you have not installed Sibelius First Sounds. It is a separate installation to the Sibelius application itself.

You can access your Sibelius Sounds download links in your My Avid Account (https://my.avid.com/products#MyProducts) Just click on the drop menu under 'Product Details and Download Links'.
