I needed to reinstall Sibelius Sounds on my computer (I uninstalled them due to problems) and found the correct site to do this. Found the download (6.2.1) in the Download file, no problem, but couldn't install it. There was no option to Open, only to Save.
Then a window appeared informing me that I needed an Apps, apparently not present on the computer to do the installation.
The computer quite new operates with Win 10, 64 bit,i7 with plenty of memory.
Can anybody tell me how and where to get this App to enable the installation please.

What is the file extension of the downloaded file? (.exe? .zip?)

I am uncertain what you have downloaded, as there is no such thing as version 6.2.1 of the Sibelius 6 Essentials sample library. In fact, I think there is no separate downloader for the Sibelius6 Essentials sample library: only a full image of the installation DVD, at:
http://www.sibelius.com/helpcenter/updates/software/sib6updates/sib6_2_download.html

Please tell us the precise name of the file that you have downloaded.

If you downloaded it using Internet Explorer, then, for security reasons, the ".exe" filename extension will have been removed.

You might, therefore, need to rename the file that you downloaded such that ".exe" is added at the end of the name. Then you should be able to double-click it and run it.

The name of the file I downloaded was Sibelius62Fullexe(2.3GB) from that site you mentioned in your reply.
Not sure why I wrote Sib 6.2.1- I was certain it was on the CD I had.
When I get back to that computer with the problem I'll check the file extension, if necessary change it as suggested and have another try. Thanks for the replies.
