Sibelius - the leading music composition and notation software

I started a new score and no sound is playing back. When I open the Mixer it shows that audio is playing through the levels, but no sound is coming through my speakers.

Please attach screen-shots of the following Sibelius dialogue windows:
1. Playback Devices;
2. Audio Engine Options.

Please say whether this is on macOS or on Windows.

If the problem is unique to only one score, please attach the affected score file.

MacOS. I tried installing Sibelius 7 Sounds since all I was getting was General MIDI, but once I did that all the sounds disappeared. I'm not sure what a picture of Playback devices and Audio engine options would look like...

All scores don't playback now.

Well I got the MIDI to work again by going to Play>Configuration>General MIDI, but is there a way I can get Sibelius 7 sounds to play?

Please take screen-shots of the Sibelius dialogue windows:
1. Playback Devices;

and attach them to your next post.

Then, in the Finder:
- pull down the "Go" menu and select "Go to folder";
- in the box, enter precisely:

/Library

and click "Go";
- in that System Library, open sub-folder "Application Support";
- in "Application Support", open sub-folder "Avid";
- in "Avid", open sub-folder "Sibelius Sounds";
- in "Sibelius Sounds" there should be a sub-folder named either "Sibelius 7 Sounds", or "Sibelius Sounds": select it with a single click;
- type Command-I to open the Info panel;
- attach a screen-shot of that Info panel.

Thanks for the screen-shots, but we are trying to find out why Sibelius 7 Sounds does not play, so a shot of "Playback Devices" with "General MIDI" selected is not relevant. Please attach a screen-shot of "Playback Devices" with configuration "Sibelius 7 Sounds" selected.

Also, in "Audio Engine Options", click the button "Repair", then quit Sibelius, re-launch Sibelius, and try "Sibelius 7 Sounds" again.

Thanks. The screen-shot shows that the "Sibelius 7 Sounds" sample library has not been fully installed.

If you downloaded your installers, please download from your account at http://my.avid.com/products the complete "Sibelius Sounds 7.1.2 installer (Mac) (23.24 GB)" and then install that.

Alternatively, if your installation was from DVD-ROM, you need to perform a Sounds installation from each of ALL FOUR DVDs.
