Can somebody help me understand why the dynamics are barely working? And how to fix the issue. Never had a problem when I was running 6. starting to regret doing and paying for the update.

The issue might be specific to the score. Please attach a score which demonstrates the issue.

The dynamic changes can just be heard in that file: the difficulty seems to be that most channels are faded to such a low level that the dynamics appear to be compressed for many instruments.

If you annotate a sequence of constant pitch notes with:

ppp pp p mp mf f ff fff

with the mixer faders at default levels, you will hear the dynamic changes very clearly.
