Dear Community,

how to set reverb in Sibelius 7.5. Somehow I can´t access it in the FX Strips in the Mixer. We have the Sibelius Sounds Library installed, now the reverb is gone. Maybe there is a way to install and choose a good sounding reverb.

In the Configuration panel, click Effects - that is where you can insert Reverb. It will then show up as a wheel icon in the Mixer (upper left); click on that to make adjustments.

Dear Ron,

that´s right. We were checking that, but there are only the AU Effects of Apple. Before we switched to the Sibelius Sounds Library, we had the impression to have some nicer sounding reverb. Now we have only the AU Effects from Apple of choice, which sounds really bad.

Is there a way to use more higher quality effects from the Sibelius side somewhere?

If you "expand" the Sibelius Mixer to its greatest extent vertically, the top item on each channel is a "Reverb" setting for each channel independently. This is regardless of sample library.

Similarly, there is an overall Reverb setting for the Sibelius Player group fader.

Not to defend Apple's Reverb, but if you click in the icon in the Mixer, you can change many of the parameters for the reverb. Can make a big difference! Still, it is not the best...
