Hello forum.

The word menu for repeats has stopped working in Sibelius 7.5 Mac. Can somebody please tell me how to reset it so it will again.

The behavior is as follows. After selecting "Text/Other System Text/Repeat", no cursor appears from which to activate a drop-down word menu. Word menus for other system text categories continue to work.

The difficulty in responding to your post is that you have made two conflicting statements in it:

1. "The word menu for repeats has stopped working"

2. "After selecting "Text/Other System Text/Repeat", no cursor appears"

The point is that, if no cursor appears, you are not even at the starting point of having a Text Object to edit, so the question of a Word Menu just doesn't arise. So I suspect your enquiry has nothing to do with Word Menus.

We need more detail on the exact workflow of how you got to that position. What precisely was selected in the score *before* "selecting "Text/Other System Text/Repeat""?

Where were you looking for the "flashing cursor"?

If you have a score which reliably reproduces this issue, please attach it.

Hi Robin. Thanks for the reply.

Sorry if my wording was confusing. The good news is that I figured out that the file I was editing was corrupt, after seeing that the repeats word menu continued to function fine in other Sibelius documents.
