I have an issue that I can't comprehend. I hope someone can help.

I want to alter the size of 'boxed system text'.

I go into Styles, edit, and I adjust the numbers, but nothing changes in the score or parts.

In the same window, I can pick and choose the fonts, and they change instantly... but not the size!!!

please help!!!

I cannot reproduce this. Please attach a Sibelius .sib score file which demonstrates the issue, and provide the directions for reproducing it.

I have solved the problem, but still can't work out why it happened.

Since you said you couldn't reproduce it, I opened a bew score and tried to reproduce it too, and I couldn't. So I assumed it was an issue in that particular score.

So, I selected one 'boxed system text' entry, then went to Appearance - Reset- Design.

This allowed the entry edited normally again, however only ONE text entry responded.

I then had to select ALL Boxed text entries, and reset them too. Now all text can be edited normally

Note: this score was from a colleague, and so maybe he had these settings locked?? who knows?

If the font sizes of text objects have been edited individually (e.g. in the Inspector, or in the ribbon tab Text) then they will not respond to further changes in the Text Style definition.

Changes in Text Style Definition will be applied only to corresponding Text objects in their default state, unless "Reset Design" is applied.

Select all filter for boxed system text reset design. they will all change at once.
