My Focusrite Clarett 4Pre and Sibelius 8.3, running on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.12.3, aren't playing entirely well together. MIDI can be input from my keyboard (NS2) but isn't being played back - instead playing via General MIDI.

In Sibelius's preferences, the Clarett 4Pre shows up but the default configuration is limited to General MIDI.

The Playback Configurations that ship with Sibelius are immutable (cannot be changed). You need to create a new custom Playback Configuration, de-activate all existing players from the right-hand column, than activate the Focusrite device into the right-hand column, and assign a sensible SoundSet to it.
