Sibelius 8.5.1 failure to launch

Yesterday I attempted to launch my Sib 8.5.1 app and received a series of error/problem messages ... see attached
in addition the Avid Application Manager kept popping up with a login request ... which then took over my computer ... and actually would not allow me to enter the login info being requested.
I spent the morning with apple support trouble shooting the problem and the conclusion was that the problem was in the Sibelius app.
I have reinstalled Sibelius with no improvement
attempted to remove the Avid app manager with no improvement
and have filed a request with Avid customer support for help ... this happened before and they temporarily solved the problem
So ...
Help?

There were no "error/problem messages" attached: just a login dialogue.

What were the messages?

What happens if you DO NOT try to launch Sibelius, but instead launch Avid Application Manager, and re-license Sibelius there?

When launching Sibelius, an error initializing the licensing system appears" article and doing what it said the problem is at least temporarily solved ...
until the next application manager update that is :-)

The instructions you quote have since been superseded by more extensive instructions as given in the first post of this thread:

You should be using the latest version of Avid Application Manager (version 17.2 at the time of writing).
