I've just noticed that if you select the first vertical bracket, that is shown pointing left, you get one that starts out pointing right and if you select vertical bracket 2, that is shown pointing right, you get one that starts out pointing left. I know you can drag the ends and change the direction, but it still seems slightly confusing.

Yes, Andrew, left is right and right is wrong. It's been that way since the last millennium. Fun, isn't it?
