Sib. 7.5: Variant on Straighen Written Out Swing
Posted by Alan Bates - 15 Mar 03:29PM
This is a suggestion for Bob Z or anyone so inclined.

When I open a swing midi file and apply the "Straighen" plug- in I end up with a slew of 1/16 rest/1/16 note combinations. (The plug-in only fixes dotted 1/8 notes followed by 1/16 notes.) Sometimes the 1/16 rest comes first and the 1/16 note is tied to the same succeeding note; sometimes the note comes before the rest. Til now, I've been fixing each instance manually - a huge pain in the you know where.

Or is there a plug-in I missed?

Thank you

Alan

you might try the downloadable Dot Undot Rhythms plugin. It is described at http://www.sibeliusblog.com/tips/new-plug-in-dot-undot-rhythm/
