Sib. 7.5: Trill doesn't stop Trilling

I have a file with two trills, one in Violin I and one in Violin II. The trill in Violin I sounds on the note and turn off (what it should do). The trill on Violin II does not turn off. Any idea as to why?

Write ord. or nat. after the trill and it shall stop.
There are sometimes problems with trill lines. You can use the symbol instead. Tried it on your score and it played tr. in both cases only on the note where the tr. should be.

It's a well-known notorious bug in Sibelius version 7.5 and higher. The only real fix is to revert to Sibelius 7.1 for playback.

Thanks, ord. and nat. worked though only when I placed one of them at the beginning of the next measure. Hopefully Avid will fix this someday.

As I said before, if you use the symbols instead of lines it works better than with the lines. Here is the file.

I hadn't realized that the symbol tr played back in Sibelius. I had thought it was only for the musician.

I'm patient but not all the young. Here's hoping they hurry.

This issue was fixed in Sibelius version 8.6.1.
