After some discussion with Bob Zawalich in the issue, I've sent Joe a new plugin which eliminates duplicate text and line objects when pasting selections containing part of a bar.

It supersedes the Complete Copy and Paste plugins which are now deprecated and I understand they will be removed in the next few weeks.

It has the following advantages over them.
1) Conventional copying is used. No copy plugin is required.
2) It does not affect the draw order of notes, lines or text in any way.
3) It supports multipaste, ie copying a passage as many times as possible within a selection.

By default, Sibelius has two shortcuts for pasting. Shift+Insert is the least used of the two, so it can be assigned to this plugin if desired.

Nice work on this plugin, Kenneth. It handles both avoiding duplicated slurs, lines, and text on a paste, and also dealing with MultiCopy , which is completely non-trivial.

I do note that you can still produce duplicates if you make a passage selection less than a bar long and type R, and also normal Paste can still do it.

But if you use Kenneth's plugin as a replacement for Paste you should avoid duplicates during those pastes.

Which is no small thing.
