Sib. 7.5: Plucked Instrument Problems
Posted by William444 - 11 Jan 07:36AM
Good morning everyone and Happy New Year.

Is there anything I can do to get a proper sound file for the mandolin?

The default (under European guitars for some strange reason) will only go from G3 to C6. I can edit the instrument to go to D7 and this changes the notes back from red to black, but still the notes above C6 don't sound on playback.

I also am surprised that there is no mandola, no mando-cello, and no Liuto Cantabile. I find this really surprising as these are surely quite well-known instruments, or least much better known than the Venezuelan Cuatro or the Columbian Tiple!

I'm currently having to make everything a piano just to get a reasonable playback but it's hard to gauge what the piece will really sound like.

I'd appreciate any advice you might have.
