I would like to know if MAC OS Sierra is compatible with Sibelius 8.1 before I install it on my MacBook Pro.

Sibelius 8.1 should not be available any longer, and it was not fully compatible with macOS Sierra.

The latest version of Sibelius (8.4.2 at the time of writing) is compatible with macOS Sierra.

I am running 8.4.2 (to which you should be able easily to upgrade, Jeffrey) on 10.12.1 without any kind of problems. Good luck!

Hi,
Sorry for posting again. I am using Sibelius 6. Is it compatible with Sierra? Since I have installed it, I have problems with the fonts. For instance, the instrument's names are very small, and I cannot correct this through the engraving rules panel. See the attached example.

Sibelius 6 is reliable as far as Yosemite I think. Any newer OS system gives problems. Upgrading to Version 8 has considerable advantages, for example: respell sharps and flats in a part for a transposing instrument without affecting the Full Score.

Hi Wim, may I ask you which kind of problem you encountered? As of now, I've heard of wrong font size. Is there something else?
