Hello,

I'm trying to create a score that uses two time signatures simultaneously (2/4 against 6/8). I've follows the reference manual and have managed to create the two parts with different time signatures.

My problem is, I can't type a dotted half note into the 6/8 bars. I have to use two dotted quarter notes tied together. Is there a way to input a dotted half note into the 6/8 part?

Please attach a Sibelius .sib score file which demonstrates this issue, and direct us to the location where you are trying to insert dotted half notes.

Maybe the 6/8 bar is really a 2/4 bar, in which case you have to fake it. Enter a quarter note and create a triplet on it. Make the quarter note a dotted half and hide the tuplet number &/or bracket.

Well, Ben, I was right with my guess. Your 6/8 staff is really in 2/4. Now, how did you get the existing notes to fit? The only way I can write a dotted half is as described in my previous post.
