Sibelius Sound 7.5 Download issue

Good morning all,

I have recently started out with Sibelius 8 and I would like to download the Sibelius Sounds dmg for mac. Each time I attempt to download from the Product Details and Download Links in my Avid Master account, the download stalls after less than 100mb. I have tried on numerous occasions, on different days and times of day. I have tested my fibre connection and my connection and wifi are stable, so I am assuming it must be a server issue.

Is there an alternate way to download the pack?

You need to configure the Mac not to go to sleep or stand-by while the download is in progress. There's an app called Caffeine that might help with this. It would be better not to rely on Wi-Fi: if your Mac offers any method of using wired Ethernet, then take it.

The only alternate to downloading is to purchase the Sibelius Media Pack, on DVD-ROM. But then your Mac would need a way of reading DVD-ROMs.

Thanks Robin,

It's certainly not an issue of the Mac going to sleep as it stalls within the first few seconds of the download. I have also tried ethernet directly to the computer with the same results. Hopefully I don't have to resort to the DVD, although I have a drive so that's fine.

It just seems to be downloading this one file, from this one location. All other downloads on the same page work fine.

Anyway, thank you for your response.

It took me 3 and a half hours on my fibre connection by turning off sleep in my windows laptop.
