New install of Sibelius 8.4.2.231: Sibelius file installation fails

Hi all,

Just spent a lot of time downloading the Sibelius 7 sound files. Are they not compatible with my newly purchased version 8 of Sibelius? When I attempt to install (MacOS Sierra 10.12), I get an error message saying 'Installer data folder is missing ("InstallerData")'

This has happened on both my iMac and my MacBook.

What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

This is a new problem with Sierra.

Solutions are (a) disabling Gatekeeper in Sierra, or (b) launching the installer manually from the Terminal.

Many thanks, Robin Walker. I was able to install the sound files successfully on both machines after disabling Gatekeeper, as recommended. I might add that I found it necessary to reboot the machines after disabling Gatekeeper before the installs succeeded.

I believed Avid when it said that Sibelius was supported on the Mac Sierra OS so went ahead and installed only to find my up to date version of Sibelius 8 is barely alive. Audio Engine error, zero playback and s-o-o-o-o-o-o-o slow. Anyone out there with similar problems and perhaps solutions? Would be really grateful!
