How rename or delete one's own (created) house styles

On my Windows.7 pc I used to be able to access the house styles in Sib.6 to do this, but cannot now find where they are stored on Windows.10 in Sib.8 or find out how to do it in the Sib.8 user guide.

The process is exactly the same as before, but even easier:

- ensure that Sibelius is fully quit, not even running in the background;
- Click Start -> Avid -> Sibelius User Data;
- in the folder that opens, open sub-folder "House Styles";
- rename or delete House Styles to taste;
- launch Sibelius so that it notices the new House Styles.

I see there's information re deleting house styles on PCs. Anyone aware of the corresponding directions for Mac OS?

That depends on what version of Sibelius is involved.

Do not use Search or Spotlight. Ensure that Sibelius is fully quit (not even in the background).
In the Finder:
- while holding down the Option key, pull down the "Go" menu, and select "Library";
- in the folder "Library", open sub-folder "Application Support";
- in the folder "Application Support", open sub-folder "Avid";
- in the folder "Avid", open the sub-folder named appropriately to the version of Sibelius you are using;
- in that folder, open sub-folder "House Styles";
- delete or rename unwanted House Style files;
- then launch Sibelius.

I've deleted all the default styles, but I want to delete some of my own. Where are they? - the "House Styles" folder is empty.

That must have involved interfering with the Sibelius.app bundle. They will of course return the next time that you update Sibelius.

The "House Styles" folder for custom user House Styles is in the "User Editable Files" area, at:

~/Library/Application Support/Avid/Sibelius/

where "~/Library" indicates the **USER** Library (not the system library at the root of hard disk). You can get there in macOS Finder by holding down the Option/alt key while pulling down the menu "Go" and selecting "Library".
