When I open my files in Sib 7 they play back as expected, so an oboe sounds for the oboe line and a violin for a violin.

However in Sibelius 8.4.2. The only sounds I can get on playback are of a piano instrument.

Please can you help me change my settings so I can get my orchestral sounds back? I'm not wanting the full, very clunky sibelius sounds which take forever to load, I just want the good old fashioned midi sounds....I think!

Can you please take screen shots of your Audio Engine Options and Playback devices dialogs? If you are on Windows, the Snipping tool can do this. Macs have other methods.
